Voce Destino is an auditioned women's choral ensemble lead by Liisa Nessim and Laura Wheeler. This ensemble of women tackle advanced choral pieces from Choral Contemporary to World & Regional Folk Music all the way to Popular Jazz & Pop. Voce explores music both Sacred and Secular, and never shy's away from a challenge. (or a song with complex body percussion!) And if the piece of music we want to sing doesn't exist this ensemble features members that regularly arrange and compose music for the group.
This ensemble is by audition only.
We choose very advanced pieces. Many times our singers find themselves alone on their part, and must be able to hold their own within the piece. Prior choral experience and vocal training is a must.
